A little warning here for the CG Community: Casino Guru is an open platform where everyone is free to share their thoughts and opinions. We believe in free speech and try to be as non-restrictive as possible. That said, please remember: just because something is posted on the forum doesn’t mean Casino Guru agrees with it or endorses it in any way. We’re really happy to see players engaging in conversations, debating respectfully, and having fun doing so! That’s why we created this platform. However, we’ve noticed a growing trend – not just here, but across other platforms too – where some players, after losing money fairly in a casino, look for ways to get those funds back through their bank or payment provider, often by filing chargebacks or making false claims. We’d like to warn you: this behaviour is not only unfair – it’s also very risky! We’ve already seen and heard stories (here and elsewhere) of people who got into serious trouble trying to go down this route – including closed casino accounts across multiple platforms, closed bank accounts, debts, and even lawsuits (attempted fraud). Attempting fraud or misrepresenting the truth to a bank or provider is never a good idea and could have lasting consequences. So here’s our friendly appeal to all Casino Guru community members: Stand up against unfair and dishonest casinos. Use our Complaints Resolution Center if you need help – you don’t have to fight alone. But please don’t try to get back money you’ve fairly lost. It’s simply not worth the risk. Thanks for being part of our community – and have a great day!

I emailed both walletto and compacto, I also filled in web form on walletto website then got refund today. Here’s what I said. make sure to put your own card details last 4 digits and transaction dates and amounts.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to raise a formal complaint regarding transactions that have been processed from my bank account through your platform.

Please note of you don't take my complaint seriously and issue refunds I will initiate a chatgeback with my bank and you will be charged fees.

It has come to my attention that the payments taken were processed using incorrect Merchant Category Codes (MCC). Under MasterCard rules, merchants and payment processors are required to use accurate MCC classifications that correctly represent the nature of the transaction. Using an incorrect MCC can misrepresent the true purpose of a payment and may cause the transaction to bypass a cardholder’s bank security systems, which rely on MCC codes to identify restricted or high-risk activity such as gambling.

In this case, the payments appear to have been processed under a misleading MCC code, meaning my bank would have interpreted the transaction as a different type of purchase. If these payments were related to gambling activity, they should have been processed under MCC 7995 (Betting/Casino Gambling) as required by card network rules.

Using an alternative MCC code to disguise the true nature of a transaction is a serious breach of MasterCard network regulations and may also raise anti-money laundering (AML) and financial compliance concerns, particularly where funds are being routed through a payment chain and ultimately sent to unlicensed or offshore gambling operators.

Based on the information available, it appears that your platform may be acting as part of a payment chain forwarding funds to offshore casinos that are not authorised to operate in the UK. Processing such payments using incorrect MCC codes can be interpreted as an attempt to bypass banking restrictions and cardholder protections.

I therefore request the following:

A full refund of all transactions processed through your platform.

A full explanation of the MCC codes used for these transactions and why they were not correctly classified.

Confirmation of the merchant(s) and destination of the funds processed via your payment service.

If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will have no choice but to escalate the issue by filing formal complaints with:

MasterCard Compliance and Integrity Team

My issuing bank (chargeback and fraud investigation)

Relevant financial regulatory authorities

Anti-Money Laundering authorities

You can identify my transactions with the card number ending in ****

Please treat this matter as urgent and confirm that a refund will be issued.
