Maximum betting amounts at reputable casinos?

I would like to hear your opinion on what the maximum possible betting amounts per game round should be for electronic table games (e.g. Black Jack) and/or which ones you have personally seen and at what point in your opinion the seriousness of the casinos and their player protection ends!

I will then give an example where, in my opinion, the "fun" suddenly stops...

Hi, I know I was just replying to you on a post in another thread and it might have been an interesting question you asked. I hope other players will join in and we'll see what they think. 

For me personally, I would like to see no more than 1000, for bet per game round- even that seems like a lot if I'm honest, but there may be players who have the money to roll with such amounts. Of course, I would certainly like to see if it would be possible in cases where it would be more, to be able to somehow set it so that I don't have such a large amount, but I don't know if that would be possible. 

So that's my opinion.
