Hi all, I have a friend who is a resident of Canada and is registered on an online casino that is legal in Canada. He is going on vacation abroad and will use a VPN to access the site in Canada. He has already passed all the know your customer identify checks. Would the casino have any issue paying out any winnings if they found out he was playing from abroad?

The casino is. So I would start there. Make sure the VPN is allowed. Save screenshots showing the casino's statement. It's always better to be prepared.

If the casino does NOT allow a VPN and your friend wins something, there could definitely be problems with the withdrawal as in that case he would be violating their terms and conditions which would be grounds for confiscation of the winnings.
I would be very careful with something like that but it's just a tip 🫡
