Casino: Winlion
Issue: Maximum win limit applied after bonus conversion to real cash
I would like to file a formal complaint regarding my experience with Winlion, as I believe the casino acted in bad faith and applied unclear and misleading bonus terms.
I received a cashback bonus and played extensively until I completed all wagering requirements. After completing the requirements, the bonus converted into real money. At that point, I had the option to withdraw, but I decided to continue playing with what was clearly displayed as my real balance.
After continuing to play, I increased my balance to approximately $3,000. However, when I attempted to withdraw my winnings, the casino suddenly reduced my balance to $161, claiming a "maximum win" limit related to the bonus.
After this reduction, I continued playing and managed to increase the balance from $161 to approximately $320. After that, I decided to stop playing casino games and moved to sports betting. However, the situation remains unfair, since the original balance had already been significantly reduced based on a rule that was not clearly disclosed beforehand.
This situation was extremely surprising and frustrating, as I was never clearly informed that the maximum win limit would still apply after the bonus converted into real cash. Such an important restriction should have been clearly displayed before accepting the bonus, not hidden within lengthy terms and conditions.
I believe this practice is misleading and unfair. The casino allowed me to continue playing with a balance that appeared to be real and withdrawable, only to later reduce my winnings significantly when I requested a withdrawal.
I contacted support, and they stated that their decision is final, referring to specific clauses in their bonus terms. However, I strongly believe that these restrictions were not presented in a clear and transparent manner before I accepted the bonus.
Due to this situation, I am requesting only:
The restoration of my full original balance prior to the reduction
This situation caused me significant stress, and I believe I was treated unfairly. I hope Casino Guru can assist in reviewing this case and helping reach a fair resolution.
Thank you,
Luis
Hello there.
As I understand it from your post, the casino converted the bonus you wagered into real money, right?
May I ask how much your winnings were and if the maximum win from this bonus was already applied when they transferred the money into your real money balance?
I believe that if they already applied the maximum win and the money was in real balance, they should let you withdraw what you won afterwards, but we need more details about how it really happened before our complaint team can start to investigate the whole situation.
Hi Romi, good morning.
I'm an amateur gambler and in my life I've simply NEVER seen anything like this. I gave a good platform a chance and was bitterly disappointed.
I won a weekly cashback bonus of $8, but I had to wager 40 times to convert that amount into real money. So I played online blackjack, which only counted for 5%, so I made several bets with that balance until I finally managed to convert it to $161. So far so good. I played again and managed to double it ($320). This was real money, and the casino had already confirmed it was real money, as I received a notification when I had $161. I went to sports betting with $320, and after several bets I managed to accumulate $3400. I decided to withdraw $3000 and leave $400 there, which I quickly lost.
The next day, they rejected my withdrawal and only released $161, saying I couldn't win more than $161 when the money comes from a bonus because I met clauses 26 and 27 of the bonus terms. The truth is, they had already told me the money was real, and this wasn't mentioned in the app.
They put hidden clauses so that the user ALWAYS loses. That's the truth, because I had read the bonus terms in question and there was nothing like that, but after winning, they come up with other bonus terms so you don't win. This is bad faith and lack of transparency.
I don't see big casinos doing this; platforms like Betano, 365, and Interacsports have never done anything like this. The worst part is that the support team thinks this is correct and ethical. I am an honest citizen, and this has left me extremely stressed and disappointed.

I see. So the maximum winnings from this bonus were $161, which was already converted to real money.
I believe that after this, they should not apply the maximum win to the real money again and again.
Please follow this link, where you can submit your complaint. Explain to our complaint team exactly what happened, and hopefully, we'll be able to communicate the issue to the casino.
Let us know here how everything goes, of course. I will keep my fingers crossed.🤞
I submitted my complaint via the link as you asked yesterday. Let’s see if you can help me, because now the "Terms and Conditions" they were referring to have disappeared, and they’re now citing clause 7 from a different set of terms, since the one they had sent me was "incorrect."
Even this one is still flawed and has nothing to do with my situation.

This link on the website used to include items in clauses 26 and 27, but they’re no longer there. The website doesn’t seem to be available at the moment; I checked several times before posting here, and as of 7:10 a.m. on March 28, 2026, the website isn’t showing up anywhere.

I can see that one of our first responder already reviewed your complaint and is waiting for additional information from you.
