Case summary

The player from Norway had signed up with SpyBet, attracted by a clearly advertised 300% welcome bonus, only to discover that it was misrepresented as a combination of four separate bonuses after his deposit. Despite confirming with live chat that there were no cashout limits, subsequent interactions with support provided no resolution and left him distrustful of the operator. He sought accountability for the misleading promotion. The issue was reviewed, and it was determined that the bonus terms were clearly outlined on the casino's website, leading to the conclusion that the casino acted within its rights. Therefore, the complaint was closed as no unfair practices were identified.

I signed up with SpyBet on May 2nd, 2025 after seeing a clearly advertised 300% welcome bonus. This was shown to me both during registration and again at the deposit screen. The bonus was presented as a 300% match on my first deposit, not as a combination of four separate bonuses.

I contacted live chat before depositing to confirm that there were no cashout limits tied to the bonus. The agent told me there were none. At no point was I told that the bonus was invalid or misrepresented.

After I made the deposit, a different agent claimed the 300% was not real and was instead referring to the total of a bonus package spread across four deposits (100% + 50% + 50% + 100 EUR). This was never explained or visible anywhere. I provided screenshots of the bonus offer and the chat where it was confirmed.

The support team dismissed my concerns, offered no resolution, and even told me to "go on Google Translate" when I asked about the cashout limit. This is unacceptable.

I am not asking for another bonus. After how this was handled, I no longer trust the operator to offer a fair solution. I am only continuing with the bonus because I already made the deposit. Whether I win or lose, I will be closing out the balance.

And honestly, if I do get lucky and manage to complete the wagering, I seriously doubt I'll be able to cash out without further problems - based on how everything has been handled so far. Because of this, I am also recording my entire gameplay session to protect myself in case SpyBet attempts to deny a payout or accuse me of violating terms.

I’m asking for accountability, not rewards. SpyBet needs to be held responsible for presenting a 300% bonus that was later denied and blamed on "misunderstanding." That should not be acceptable under any regulated environment.

Dear Fisken,

Thank you very much for submitting your complaint. I’m sorry to hear about your problem. I reviewed the casino's website and the bonus section, and while it may seem that the bonus offer is a 300% match bonus, when you open the bonus T&Cs, you will find all the necessary information regarding this bonus. Please, see here:

Unfortunately, many casinos display welcome package bonuses in this way, but we cannot consider it unfair as long as all the essential information regarding the package is included in the specific bonus terms.

I can only recommend that you always read all the bonus T&Cs before you activate each bonus to avoid similar disappointment in the future.

Thank you very much in advance for your understanding.

Best regards,

Kristina

See attached screenshots for my proof, I also have a chat transcript where they basicly implied I was stupid, whilst this 100% was on their end. I dont know how to link the transcript with support, but if you saw it you would see how they basicly belittled me whilst i was striving to maintain a professional and positive attitude against them. It clearly showed in their API, and on signup, that this was an exclusive bonus. Please let me know how to attach the conversation with their live chat, because that will add an endless amount of context too.

Thank you for your reply.

Thank you for your reply, Fisken. I truly understand that this experience must have been disappointing, and it’s completely valid to feel confused by the way the bonus was presented. Promotions like these can sometimes appear unclear at first, but they aren't anything unusual.

That said, the full terms and conditions were (and still are) available in the bonus section, and the promotion itself did include a prompt encouraging players to read more about how it works. This kind of structure—often referred to as a "welcome package"—is commonly used across many casinos, and I must point out that it is stated in the promo section.

I apologize, but from our perspective, the casino did nothing wrong or unfair, therefore, we aren't in a position to confront the casino about this.

Due to the aforementioned reasons, this complaint will now be closed. Thank you for your understanding. I am sorry we could not be of more help on this occasion. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you run into any issues with this or any other casino in the future.
