Case summary

The player from Kazakhstan filed a complaint against LuckyAnon for confiscating his winnings after he had successfully completed wagering requirements and submitted a withdrawal request. The casino claimed the winnings were confiscated due to a German IP address, although the player was physically located in Russia and had used a VPN out of necessity. He argued that the casino's lack of early restrictions was unfair and requested assistance in obtaining his winnings. We thoroughly reviewed the evidence, including technical data and documents provided by the player. However, strong indications of document forgery were identified, which led to the rejection of the complaint and a permanent ban of the player from our platform due to the submission of falsified documents.

Hello,

I would like to file a complaint against LuckyAnon regarding the confiscation of my winnings.

I registered an account at LuckyAnon, made a $50 deposit, received the first deposit bonus, and played only slot games. I completed the wagering requirements successfully, and after finishing the bonus wagering, my balance was approximately $1,900.

I then submitted my first withdrawal request. I had never made any previous withdrawal from this account. The casino did not process the withdrawal for about one and a half days and then informed me that my winnings were being confiscated because a German IP address had been used and they do not accept players from Germany. They returned only my original $50 deposit.

I believe this decision is unfair and I would like to explain the situation clearly.

I am not a citizen or resident of Germany. I am a Russian citizen, and I was physically located in Russia while using the casino. Russia is not prohibited under their rules. The only reason a German IP address appeared is because a VPN was enabled on my computer. In Russia, many websites and services are blocked or unstable without a VPN, so using one is a normal technical necessity.

Most importantly, when I accessed the LuckyAnon website with that German VPN connection, I was not blocked, and I was not shown any clear warning that I was not allowed to play. If I had seen any restriction notice at the start, I would have simply changed the VPN location or turned it off before registering or depositing. But no such warning appeared. The website allowed me to register, deposit, claim the bonus, and continue playing without any restriction.

Only after I won, completed the wagering, and requested a withdrawal did the casino raise this issue. In my opinion, this is not fair. If the casino truly does not allow players using a German IP, then this should be enforced immediately at the access, registration, or deposit stage, not only after a player wins.

Moreover, you can check that i used Russian email, so there is no chance i am from Germany

I would also like to clarify that this case concerns slot play only. In addition, LuckyAnon does not require standard account verification in the usual way, and this was my first withdrawal request.

For these reasons, I respectfully ask Casino Guru to review this case and help me obtain my legitimate winnings. The casino should not be allowed to accept a deposit, allow full gameplay and bonus wagering, and then use an IP-related argument only at the withdrawal stage.

P.S. Casino guru deleted Russia from country list, that is why i have chosen Kazakhstan as country.

Thank you.

  • Could you please advise whether you currently still have access to your account?

I hope we will be able to help you resolve this issue as soon as possible.

Thank you very much in advance for your reply.

Hello.

1) Yes i still have access to my account

2) If you read my complaint carefully i mentioned that it was done not deliberately. I live in Russia my vpn almost always is on. Moreover it is anonymous casino with no KYC, and i have not seen that VPN is restricted, so i thought there is no problem

3) In this casino there is no KYC

Attila Hello. Do you need my KYC or what? And how you want me to proof that i accessed site from Russia? Do you have any ideas? Maybe they need to prove that i accessed from germany? And if they restrict access from Germany, why their website allows registration and deposit from German ip?

Tell me exactly what do i need to provide?

Hello Attila. I have sent you my passport confirming that i am not resident of Germany. Moreover your FairGambling Codex says that casinos that allow player deposit and play are obliged to withdraw funds. They have not restricted deposit and play from German ip, but restrict withdrawal isn't it against your FairGambling codex?

The easiest thing that casino can do is to restrict access from forbidden ip. They have not done it. And now you ask me my documents for NO-kyc casino. What a shame.

Hello,

To be clear, gameplay is disabled in restricted Geos and the player circumvented those controls we have in place.

How did i circumvented them? If i circumvented them it means that i use vpn as i said earlier and i am not from Germany. I have not broken any rules

Dear overwater,

It is a pleasure to e-meet you. My name is Kubo, and I will be handling your complaint moving forward.

If there have been any updates or new developments since your last message, please feel free to share them with me.

Dear LuckyAnon Casino,

Thank you for your continued cooperation and for providing the evidence so far.

At this stage, however, we do not consider the ASN/ISP information alone sufficient to confirm that the player was physically located in Germany, or to rule out the use of a VPN, proxy, or similar routing method.

An IP address appearing as Vodafone or residential may indicate the network associated with the exit IP, but it does not, by itself, exclude the possibility of a residential proxy, mobile proxy, VPN exit node, or another routed connection using a residential ISP range.

For this reason, we kindly ask you to provide additional technical evidence supporting the conclusion that the connection was genuine and not proxied. In particular, please provide the full Fingerprint Pro/IP intelligence results for the relevant sessions, including:

VPN/proxy/Tor signals, confidence scores, geolocation confidence, timestamps, device/browser fingerprint consistency, and any indicators showing that later non-German connections were VPN/proxy-based.

Without this supporting evidence, the information currently provided may be treated as an indication, but not as conclusive proof of the player’s physical location or intentional circumvention. Feel free to send all relevant information to my email at jakub.m@casino.guru.

Thank you for your cooperation and prompt response.

Best regards,

Kubo

Hello Kubo. According to your Fair Gambling Codex if casinos accepted deposit (from German ip) allowed me to play ( i had chance to lose), they should withdraw my funds as well. Am i wrong? They have not restcited access by ip. The easiest thing they can do to avoid such situations.

Dear LuckyAnon Casino,

Thank you for providing all the requested information.

Dear overwater,

I have thoroughly reviewed all supporting evidence provided by the casino. Unfortunately, based on the current evidence, the case does not appear to be developing in your favor.

The records and extended technical evidence indicate that the account was registered from a local IP address in Germany. This supports the casino’s position that the system was circumvented and, as a result, the casino’s decision to void the winnings may be justified.

That said, I would still like to give you the benefit of the doubt. Please consider whether you are able to provide any evidence confirming that you were physically present in the Russian Federation on April 13, when the account was created. Any reliable supporting evidence of your presence in Russia at that time may help substantiate your version of events.

Please feel free to send any such evidence to my email address at jakub.m@casino.guru.

Thank you.

Hello Cubo.

First of all, i use residential vpn, so of course it will show local german ip address.

Second, when you refused from your Fair Gambling Codex? I have asked you 3 times about your policy that if casinos accepted my deposit from German ip, allowed me to play ( i had chance to lose) and now they refuse to withdraw. I mean i can find you at least 10 situations on your platform where you use that principle if casino accept money allow you to play they have to withdraw your funds. Ask your colleagues if you are a new here.

So they have not restricted access from German ip. And you just ignore me!

What types of evidence you need that i was not in German? I mean i do no like Germany, why should i proove that i was not here if casino is no-kyc and accept money from country they restrict. Can you answer this question? Is it good practise?

Kubo, can we ask casino for all ip addresses i used for accessing account? i remember that i changed countries when playing in casino, so they should have logs of different ip, that proves that i used vpn and was not in Germany. So i need you to check all logs to my account in casino

Dear overwater,

Thank you for providing the additional information.

Do you have any document confirming your permanent residence in Russia, such as a utility bill, phone service invoice, or bank statement?

To be honest, the German residential IP address initially appeared to be a fairly strong argument in the casino’s favor, and it leaned my preliminary opinion closer to their position. However, as I have already mentioned, it does not unequivocally prove that your physical location was Germany at the time of your registration and gameplay at the casino.

The casino has already provided all relevant IP addresses, and I can see that most of them were associated with VPN usage. However, the residential German IP address remains problematic and needs to be addressed.

Regarding your concerns about Casino Guru’s Fair Gambling Codex, you are correct that we assess such cases carefully. In general, we believe that if players are able to deposit and play from a certain country, casinos should not withhold winnings solely by referring to a restricted-country rule, especially if no effective geo-block was in place.

However, this case is slightly different. While the casino does not appear to apply a general geo-block preventing access to the website, there seems to be a provider-level block intended to prevent gameplay from certain jurisdictions. If such a block was deliberately circumvented, we would not be able to pursue the complaint further, and the complaint would likely have to be rejected.

Nevertheless, to make sure the matter is assessed as fairly as possible, please submit any relevant document that can substantiate your permanent residence in Russia to my email address at jakub.m@casino.guru.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Hello Cubo thank you for the detailed reply. Just wanted to mention that for sure i have not used vpn for deliberate circumventing the restrictions. Moreover i know do not understand do you believe that i used vpn or not? If yes, it is obvious that i am not from Germany. If no, why you say this "If such a block was deliberately circumvented, we would not be able to pursue the complaint further, and the complaint would likely have to be rejected." How according to you i circumvented block, if according to you i have not used vpn?

Anyway i will send you the proofs of my permanent residence in Russia.

Public

And Cubo one more moment.

Did casino said you that "there seems to be a provider-level block intended to prevent gameplay from certain jurisdictions"?

I mean they do not want withdraw my money because they believe i was in Germany. But they never told me that i broke some provider's block.

Public
Public

Dear overwater,

I did not say that you did not use a VPN. The later use of a VPN has been clearly proven.

What still needs to be clarified is whether you were physically located in Germany at the time of the gameplay. If that were the case, the circumvention of the provider’s block would also be proven. However, since you claim that you were in Russia at the time, this would mean that you were not playing from a restricted jurisdiction, and the casino’s actions should not be considered justified.

I am giving this case the benefit of the doubt because the ASN classification of the IP address as residential does not, on its own, conclusively prove your physical location. VPN and proxy detection is not always fully decisive, and it is technically possible that your traffic was routed through an undetected residential German IP address.

That said, I still have not received any of the requested materials from you. Please provide them as soon as possible.

Thank you for your cooperation.
