Theme and Storyline

Lights is an odd slot, with a visual theme based around Chinese lanterns and the various styles they come in. The background to the slot is a gorgeous, almost magical landscape, while the symbols are various lanterns and the usual ace to ten symbols.

As themes go it might not seem to be all that rich visually, but by combining the lanterns with drifting, firefly-like lights the slot does manage to create a pleasing aesthetic that can be enjoyed by most players.

Graphics, Sounds and Animations

The key way in which the odd theme sells itself is in the graphics. They are charming and pretty, with the firefly patterns adding a magical element to the twilight glow of the lamps.

The musical accompaniment is not great but if it could be muted it would allow the well chosen sound effects to shine.

Overall this is a well animated and drawn slot machine, although visually fairly simple.

Gameplay

Lights is a five reel, nine win line slot machine. There are no gamble features and you must play all nine win lines.

During normal spins two to four floating Wilds appear on the reels (see below for details).

Wilds play as any symbol except for Scatters. Floating Wilds land at random on top of another symbol.
