If you're a big fan of Sylvester Stallone's Rambo movie franchise, the Rambo Mega Mines game by Atlantic Digital might just be your new favorite title.

The game is set out in the wood, in the aftermath of a car chase. You'll even see the crashed police cars protruding from either side of the grid. The symbols are camouflaged behind trees, and there are some subtle animations to set the scene.

You can expect a fully immersive soundtrack - you'll hear sirens going off in the background and the leaves even rustle when you hover over the game grid.

Gameplay

As the name might suggest, Rambo Mega Mines is similar to the Minesweeper game that you might have played on an old PC back in the 90s – or any instant win Mines game at an online casino.

The grid is in a 4x4 format, resulting in a total of 16 positions. You can set the number of "Mines" that appear on the grid using the option to the left of the screen. The aim is to click on the positions on the grid, to reveal the symbol. If there's a Mine lurking in the position, the game will end. At this point, you can place an optional extra bet, in order to continue playing.

The more Mines, the more likely you are to hit one, and therefore the higher the potential win.

Wilds, Bonuses, and Free Spins

If you land three of the golden R symbols, you'll receive a spin on the Prize Wheel. The Prize Wheel can award wins of up to 50x, or it could land on the Jackpot option, which gets you entry into the Jackpot Reveal round. Once your prize has been revealed, you can choose to collect it or Spin Up to try to get a bigger prize. But be warned, there's a chance you could lose your prize when you take the gamble.

If you manage to reveal three or more of the Jackpot icons, you'll enter the Jackpot Reveal round. There are five fixed jackpots to be won, ranging from the smallest one (called Mini) all the way up to the big Rambo jackpot, which pays out up to 2,000x your stake. You'll need to reveal three of the same jackpot symbols to win that specific prize.

You can choose to play with six, seven, or eight active Mines on the grid, and the more you select, the higher the max win and volatility will be. The more Mines, the higher the volatility.

The minimum bet amount on this game is just $/€/£0.10 per go and you can play for up to $/€/£100 at a time. The maximum win amount can reach 2,000x your stake if you're playing with eight active Mines.

The Return to Player percentage (RTP) of the game also changes based on the number of Mines. With six Mines it's 96.44%, with seven it's 96.45% and with eight it's 96.46%. All of these fall into the category of higher than average, so we have nothing to complain about here.

Conclusion

Rambo Mega Mines is not a traditional slot game, so if you're looking for something with Wilds, Megaways, or Cascading Reels, then this one probably isn't for you. But if you're in the market for a simple game that takes its cues from a favorite of years gone by, then you might want to give it a go.
