The world's premier mixed martial arts (MMA) organization with more than 700 million fans, UFC, announced a new European-facing partnership.
Addressing its growing popularity, UFC confirmed it joined forces with the leading online gambling platform, NetBet.
Under the terms of the new collaboration, announced earlier this week, UFC designated NetBet as its Official Sportsbook and Betting Partner for several important European markets.
The new agreement encompasses the markets in the UK and Italy, the largest on the Old Continent, as well as the ones in Ireland, Greece and Romania.
Ultimately, NetBet will benefit from marketing opportunities via UFC's world-famous Octagon, as well as through the organization's broadcast feed.
Furthermore, the leading online gambling platform will reach new audiences and raise awareness of its brand through UFC's social media and digital channels.
Earlier this month, UFC ace Tom Aspinall was appointed to the role of brand ambassador for SPRIBE's flagship title, Aviator.
The deal further complemented the company's strong lineup of UFC athletes which includes Merab Dvalishvili and Alex Pereira, among others.
Marcel Prioteasa, NetBet's CEO, shared his excitement about the latest collaboration explaining: "We are excited to become the European betting partner of UFC, uniting the adrenaline-pumping action of the world’s premier mixed martial arts organization with the elite betting experience our customers expect."
Finally, the executive outlined: "As we gear up for our biggest year yet in 2025, and with a loyal and growing MMA community, this partnership lets us bring fans even closer to the Octagon with exciting new ways to engage with the sport they enjoy."
Nicholas Smith, TKO Senior Vice President and Head of International Business, spoke about the ongoing expansion of UFC on the Old Continent.
The executive added that UFC is delighted to connect with its fan base thanks to a trusted and reputable operator like NetBet.
"We couldn’t be kicking it off at a better time than with UFC FIGHT NIGHT: EDWARDS vs. BRADY, our marquee event this year in London, UK," Smith said in conclusion.
The aforementioned event, as explained by the executive, will mark the start of the new collaboration.
UFC FIGHT NIGHT: EDWARDS vs. BRADY is scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 22 at O2 in London.
Earlier this year, NetBet announced that Ray Parlour will retain his UK brand ambassador role.
