The casino entertainment company which currently has a presence in 11 states, owning and operating 19 casinos, Bally's Corporation, confirmed changes to its C-suite.
On Tuesday, the company announced that it selected the former Standard General executive, Mira Mircheva, for a dual senior-level role.
Joining the company, the executive, who has more than two decades of experience, will serve as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
What's more, Mircheva will hold the role of Executive Vice President.
Coinciding with her appointment, Bally's Corporation announced that its CFO, Marcus Glover, will now serve as Bally's Executive Vice President, Global Operations Group.
Assuming the new dual role, Mircheva will be tasked with a range of responsibilities. While Bally's confirmed the senior-level hire, it said that the appointment is subject to relevant regulatory approvals.
Holding a B.A. in Economics from Colgate University, Mircheva brings more than 25 years of experience to Bally's.
Throughout her extensive career in the gaming sector, she focused on the financial vertical and has held a number of important senior-level roles with recognizable companies.
In a statement, Mircheva shared her excitement saying: "I am thrilled to be joining Bally's at such an exciting time for the Company and to leverage my experience with Queen to continue to strengthen our financial position by optimizing our cost structure, enhancing the efficiency of our operations and leveraging the collective experience of our Board and my newest colleagues across the globe."
Soo Kim, the Chairman of Bally's Board of Directors, added: "Mira's experience as a CFO and strong financial acumen and operational experience make her the right person to help Bally's continue to grow and achieve our long-term financial goals."
Robeson Reeves, Bally's CEO, welcomed Mircheva to the company's leadership team.
The executive said that it is exciting to see an expert of her rank join the C-suite.
Finally, Reeves said that Mircheva "brings considerable experience to this role and her experience as CFO of The Queen Casino and Entertainment will be invaluable as we integrate Queen into Bally's."
As explained by Bally's CEO, before joining Bally's, Mircheva held the role of CFO at The Queen Casino and Entertainment.
However, her rich professional background includes more senior-level roles, including Partner and Research Analyst at Standard General, as well as Senior Research Analyst at Perella Weinberg Partners Asset Management.
Throughout her career spanning more than 25 years, Mircheva was also a Vice President in credit principal investing at Goldman Sachs.
