California is a US state that currently has close to 100 casinos and cardrooms. While the state doesn't permit online gambling or sports betting, it has a range of land-based venues, varying in size, that provide casino entertainment, including table games and slots.
One of the total of 87 casinos in California is Hustler Casino, a popular venue with rich heritage a dozen miles away from Downtown Los Angeles. Promising exceptional experiences, the Gardena cardroom is also the home of the popular live-stream poker show, Hustler Casino Live.
Despite the unquestionable popularity of the poker show and the Gardena cardroom, many still wonder who owns Hustler Casino and who is Nick Vertucci?
Hustler Casino opened its doors to visitors on June 22, 2000. The venue used the site of the former El Dorado Club. The owner of Hustler Casino was Larry Flynt, who purchased the site for $8 million in 1998 and turned it into Hustler Casino subsequently.
Flynt retained his ownership of the popular cardroom in Gardena until his passing in 2021. After Flynt passed away, the ownership of Hustler Casino was transferred to El Dorado LF, LLC. Besides the owner of Hustler Casino, Flynt was the president of Larry Flynt Publications, a famous adult entertainment business founded back in 1976.
Larry Flynt Publications published a range of adult magazines, including the famous Hustler magazine. The business was also involved in adult TV channels and videos. The name of Hustler Casino, was likely a hint toward the involvement of Larry Flynt Publications in adult entertainment.
It was early in 2007 when Hustler Casino completed a major redevelopment that saw the opening of the Crystal Room, a special high-limit poker room. Then, in 2021, the Crystal Room was transformed to accommodate the set of the new state-of-the-art live poker show, Hustler Casino Live.
Two industry visionaries and entrepreneurs, Ryan Feldman and Nick Vertucci co-founded Hustler Casino Live. Promising exceptional entertainment thanks to high-profile guests and sizable buy-ins, the live-stream poker show quickly gained popularity and increased its fan base.

Hustler Casino details at a glance:
It was back in August 2021 when Hustler Casino Live launched. Described as a "full-scale, high-value production," the show required the transformation of Hustler Casino's high-limit poker room, the Crystal Room, into a set for the new state-of-the-art show. As noted, Hustler Casino Live was co-founded by the visionaries and entrepreneurs, Ryan Feldman and Nick Vertucci.
The show, which has a growing fan base, stands out with unscripted and unedited moments, as well as high-stakes games with recognizable players. Setting itself apart from traditional live stream poker, Hustler Casino Live invites some of the biggest names in poker and often includes surprise guests that offer unique entertainment for poker fans and gamblers alike.
Shaun Yaple, Hustler Casino's General Manager, explains in a written statement via the casino's website that the state-of-the-art show comes after several years of consideration. He revealed that the Gardena casino identified the potential of Feldman and Vertucci, both of which have significant experience and started discussions. Yaple added that in the end, a high-quality product that caters to poker fans across the globe came to light.
Hustler Casino Live's presence on social media is unquestionable, considering the show's 375,000 subscribers on YouTube. The popular show has posted 1,537 videos at the time of writing and has more than 208.9 million views. Hustler Casino Live has 58,600 followers on Twitter too, and more than 42,400 on Instagram, figures that reaffirm the show's popularity and growing fan-base.
This growing popularity couldn't shield one of the owners from allegations, which emerged in October last year. At the time, one of the regular guests of the popular poker show, Julia McBride, who is popular on Hustler Casino Live as "Julia from Palmdale," alleged she was sexually harassed by one of the show's co-founders, Nick Vertucci. Allegations emerged via her personal page on X.
McBride, in an interview for PokerNews claimed that she was banned from the popular show after rejecting unwanted advances by Vertucci. On social media, she alleged that the co-founder of the show leveraged his position to "harass women and keep witnesses from speaking up." Besides the claims, McBride released screenshots of alleged text messages exchanged between herself and Vertucci.
Following the sexual harassment allegations, the co-owner of the popular poker show stepped down from his role at the show. More recently, GGPoker's parent company, NSUS Group Inc., announced it had purchased Vertucci's stake in Hustler Casino Live earlier this month.
Undoubtedly, Hustler Casino remains a go-to location for poker fans in California. Promising supreme entertainment and operating round the clock, the Gardena cardroom owned by Larry Flynt prior to his death, has become a namesake for quality and unforgettable experiences. At the same time, the popular show, Hustler Casino Live, continues to engage with new fans and has a growing presence in the online vertical.
