Graphics, Sounds and Animations

Gorilla Gold’s graphics are pretty solid. They are rendered nicely with a deep green background that allows the four reels in oranges and browns to really pop. The symbols are cool, dramatically drawn wildlife with a bit of a twist.

The animations are reasonable, highlighting action as it takes place and keeping things clear. The quadruple reels mean that unless you are playing on a large screen, the symbols can be a little small. The animations help with this.

The win and spin sounds are well chosen, and add nicely to the atmosphere of the slot. Though more thought could have been put into the limited musical accompaniment.

Gameplay

In the base game there are four slot games. These play more or less independently. Remember to note that your bet per spin will be quadrupled as you are placing separate bets on each set of reels.

Each slot has six reels on which two to six symbols can appear. The number of symbols is randomised.

Winning combinations are formed by three or more matching symbols in adjacent reels starting from the leftmost reel. As a result, knock on effect of this, the number of win ways varies widely from spin to spin. Winning combos are removed from the reels, and new symbols drop down from above. This cascade feature works independently on each reel.
