I'm asking this because I’ve noticed that poker brings out different emotions in different people, from excitement and adrenaline to stress or deep focus. I feel a mix of tension and thrill, especially during high-stakes moments. I'm curious to hear how others experience the game, both emotionally and mentally.
Interesting that someone is interested in such a thing. Too bad I can't contribute to the conversation with my personal experiences because I don't play poker. But I'd be glad if someone would join you and tell you how he's doing.🙂
Good day, my goal is to take money from the casino, not other people ... so I do not engage in poker much. I am good with statistics (judging hands), but I am terrible at reading people which is made worse by poker being a bluffing game. When I play poker, I tend to play like a NIT (only strong hands) ... so I do not lose much money, but observant players will notice and not let me win much either.
When I play any casino game, poker included, I remind myself to relax and enjoy the game ... but if things are not going well, my analytical mind takes over and I get deeply focused ... I am not rude to others, but a cold formality might come out as I become so wrapped up in my own thoughts.
For me, the stress comes before entering the casino ... I know where I am going and I will be taking a risk. Once I am there, it becomes more enjoyable.
