Hello guys, I have a question

is it safe to submit a passport copy to a casino for verification and all details visible especially passport number? I have submitted a driver license and civil ID and both got rejected and asked for passport. And saying all details should be visible!!!

Hello!

I see no harm in that. But I'd like to know which casino we are talking about - just in case.

Do you have any clue why both of your documents were rejected? I mean, are these still valid?

It sounds weird, I'll wait for your reply.🤔

it is LionSpin casino.

yes both my documents are valid but got rejected. They said the casino can request the passport.

i have submitted my passport but I covered the passport number and they rejected it and they said all details should be visible.

Thanks for the name.

I understand that once your passport is needed in order to pass the verification, the number and its validity should be visible. What I can't comprehend is why the passport is needed at all.

I guess you have not been told that yet, right?

Well, the casino's safety index looks decent (see for yourself), so I really wonder what the catch is...

If you have not asked about that yet, could you do that now, please?

I'll wait for the update, of course.

Thank you.

Be careful if the previous documents were photographed correctly and if they were visible in their entirety in the photo. It's strange that when they got the identity card, they also want a passport, but try to see if by any chance these two documents, i.e. the identity card or the driver's license, will not expire in the near future, or if their validity has not already expired.

Actually they were clear captured and not nearly expiring. Also I submitted my ID which is renewed 2 days ago and shows my passport number, photo, address and date of birth and still they rejected it and they emailed me that they want a passport.

I'm confused 🫤

So when they were rejected again and you say that everything was clearly visible, you asked what is the problem with the documents now? I don't think it's unusual for a casino to ask for other things like a passport.

Anyway, I see that you've already managed to file a complaint, so if the verification problems persist, our team will certainly try to help you as much as possible.

However, If you do manage to verify or find something new, could you let us know ?

Sure, I will let you know.

So we can see that in some cases players can have different experiences. Did you pass the verification at your casino without any problems ?

Not yet.

I have an idea, but allow me a question first: Is your passport (unlike your other local documents) international and written in English?

This could be the case, I think.

Maybe the casino hesitates to accept documents written in Arabic(?). I'm not familiar with the local situation in Kuwait, so I'm sorry if I picked the wrong language.

Anyway, how does that sound to you? 🤔

On which document, please? Is it still about the passport? I have never seen a Canadian passport - sorry for the silly question 🙂

My documents are in both languages Arabic & English.

Ok, in this case, I have no other ideas on how to explain that...

I will keep repeating: The casino should explain. 🤔

The thing that is confusing me, why they ask for passport while the other documents were submitted clearly. And why would they care if the passport number is showing or covered!! It is an identity verification and they should care about the name, photo, and date of birth.

I'm comfortable sharing my KYC documents with established and reputable casinos that have stood the test of time. However, I'm hesitant to provide the same information to newer, smaller casino brands.

I think that's the process by which this casino does verification. I'm not sure why it still hasn't moved anywhere. That should explain the casino. So there is nothing left to do but wait and see how the complaint proceeds. 🤔

Hm, that's your personal preference, yes ? Have you ever had a problem with verification yourself ?
