Play El Toreo demo slot online for fun. Enjoy free casino games in demo mode on Casino Guru. Expert review included.
Like bullfighting itself, you might be better off giving this rather dull slot a miss. Average RTP and high variance are the main appeals.
Read full reviewEl Toreo is based around the once romantic (and now rather grim) world of bullfighting. The symbols include a furious bull, the roses that are traditionally thrown to winning matadors, and the matador himself. The matador here looks like the hero on the cover of a cheap romantic paperback.
The theme feels a little dated, and the style more so, but there are still a few unironic matador slots kicking around. If that’s your jam, this slot has you covered.
The graphics are a definite let down for this slot. The art style feels cheap and looks tawdry. The romance novel style doesn’t help the look and robs it of style and character.
The soundtrack is unobtrusive, but is rather bland and doesn’t mesh particularly well with the theme.
The animations are simple but at least they are clear and easy to follow.
El Toreo is built on a pretty basic slot format. There are five reels, each of which has three rows. There are ten win lines and a simple free spin bonus (see below for details).
The only special symbols are the wild and scatter. There is no gamble feature.
In other words, if you’ve played a few slots, you have a pretty good idea exactly how this one is going to play.
The Wild symbol substitutes for all symbols except the Scatter symbol. When the Wild symbol lands, it expands to cover the whole reel.
Three or more Scatter symbols trigger a Free Spin bonus. As well as the payout for the Scatters, the player receives 10 free spins.
During Free Spins, the Wild symbol is sticky. This means that any Wild that lands, stays in place for any subsequent free spins.
The return to player of this game is 96.08%, pretty much exactly on our yardstick for average of roughly 96%. We won’t quibble over 0.08 percentage points if you won’t.
The range of bets on the site we tested ran from a minimum bet per spin of $/£/€0.10 up to a maximum of $/£/€50.00 per spin.
The volatility of this game is high, which makes it a good match for our preferred slot machine strategies. Our slot strategies target the highest possible volatility.
El Toreo is a bit of a whole heap of bull… fighting. The visuals are uninspiring and leave a lot to be desired in terms of atmosphere and style.
The gameplay is similarly basic. The whole thing lacks the kind of flare you would expect from a matador themed slot. This has none of the pageantry of a bullfight.
When you add in the mediocre RTP, the number of pros are dwindling to more or less just the high volatility which allows players to apply our slot strategies. That said, there are plenty of slots that better fit that goal.
This slot hardly gets us interested enough to charge it, let alone properly gore it.
