An incredibly lucky woman had a sleepless weekend after realizing she had just won a life-changing prize.
That’s the story of a woman from Victoria, Australia, who scored a division one prize from a recent TattsLotto drawing.
The fortunate player purchased her ticket at Lansell Square Lotto, Kiosk K6, Lansell Square at 267 High Street, Kangaroo Flat.
Interestingly, the woman was just passing through Bendigo and decided to give TattsLotto a try.
She entered the game’s drawing 4693 on Saturday, July 11, 2026.
That particular TattsLotto drawing produced a total of four division one winning entries across Australia and the Victorian woman held one of the tickets.
Each division one winning entry was entitled to a life changing AU$1.5m ($1.04m) prize.
Lili Unstead, the owner of Lansell Square Lotto, where the lucky Victorian woman purchased her winning entry, spoke with an official from The Lott and shared her excitement to see another division one winning entry sold at the venue she runs.
The owner of the retail outlet added that so far, Lansell Square Lotto has sold 15 division one winning entries.
"Congratulations to the winner. I’m so happy for you! I hope this brings ease and happiness to you and your family," Unstead said.
After purchasing the TattsLotto ticket, the woman initially forgot about it.
The woman recalled remembering that the lottery ticket was in her purse as she wanted to check if it was a winner.
"I checked it Saturday and I couldn’t get to sleep until 5am," the fortunate player said in an interview for The Lott.
"I was just sitting there, and I thought I better check because I had a feeling for a couple of days that I was going to get some good news," the player added.
The winner explained that she usually plays online and waits for an email or a notification via The Lott’s app.
However, on this occasion, she remembered she purchased a physical ticket as she was passing through Bendigo.
The victorious Victorian added that she has been playing "for ages."
With the thought of winning a life-changing fortune sinking in, the woman clapped her hands and said: "Thank you, money gods!"
Asked about her plans for her newfound fortune, the player admitted that she is still in shock and hasn’t decided what to do with the AU$1.5m ($1.04m) coming her way.
"It’s a lot of money. Like I said, I’m a millionaire now! I’ve never had this sort of money, so I want to be wise and not rush into anything," the Bendigo visitor said in conclusion.
