Time is running out to claim a Fantasy 5 top prize in Michigan.
The winner, who may not be aware that they have won a huge fortune from the popular game, has less than a month to claim the prize.
The Fantasy 5 drawing on August 28, 2025, saw winning numbers 07-10-21-22-33 drawn.
Interestingly, a single ticket matched all winning numbers to win the top prize for a whopping $240,955 payday.
The winning ticket in question was sold at East Jordan Central Ez Mart on 101 Water Street in East Jordan, a town that’s about 25 miles southwest of Petoskey.
While nearly a year has passed since the Fantasy 5 drawing, the prize that is just shy of $241,000 is yet to be claimed.
As a result, the Michigan Lottery confirmed the approaching deadline for claiming the lottery prize.
Players can claim winnings with tickets from Fantasy 5 within one year from the drawing date.
This otherwise means that the fortunate player, whoever that is, will have until August 28, 2026, at 4:45 PM to claim their windfall.
In case nobody claims the prize within the aforementioned deadline, the ticket expires, and the money would be allocated to Michigan’s School Aid Fund.
The Michigan Lottery encouraged the winner to contact its Player Relations division at 844-917-6325 and book an appointment to collect the lottery windfall.
As is the case for other large lottery prizes, the fortunate player must be present at the Michigan Lottery’s headquarters in Lansing to claim their newfound fortune.
The cost per play in Fantasy 5 is $1, and the game offers a chance to win a prize between $1 and a growing jackpot that starts at $100,000.
Paying an extra $1 per play unlocks Fantasy 5’s EZmatch feature, granting players a chance to instantly win up to $500.
On the other hand, an extra $1 per play adds the Double Play option, enabling player’s tickets to enter a second drawing for a chance to win up to $110,000 within the game’s nightly Double Play drawing.
