Another seven-figure lottery ticket was sold in Pennsylvania, with the lottery reporting that a new player has been minted as the state’s newest millionaire.
The player, whoever they are, bought a ticket at the GetGo along Chestnut Street in Carnegie, resulting in a $1,000,000 win from the $50 "Million Win It All" scratch-off game.
The store will also receive a bonus for selling the winning ticket, with a $5,000 bonus confirmed by the lottery. As for the player, not much is known about them just yet, other than the location of the purchase.
The Pennsylvania Lottery publicizes big wins in order to help players who may have forgotten about their recent ticket purchase to double-check what they have in their possession on the off chance that they end up winning the top prize.
Big wins have been dropping all over the country, with multiple millionaires produced by various state lotteries.
Earlier this week, a woman from Waterloo, Iowa, hit a $2,000,000 top prize and said she would expedite her retirement by several months.
She also vowed to spend some of the money to help her grandchildren through college and ease off the debt burden so they don’t struggle the way she did.
Another player from Oakland County in Michigan secured a $1.05m progressive jackpot from the Detroit Lions Rush for Riches Fast Cash Game just this week.
This is hardly all, however, as another person won from the Illinois Lottery’s Lucky Day Lotto game, scooping a $1.3m prize.
