A Lucky Day Lotto ticket sold in Oswego last week has scooped a $1.3m jackpot, the Illinois Lottery said in a press statement.
The ticket was bought at a BP gas station at 2791 US 34, but no winner has yet stepped forward to claim the seven-figure, life-changing prize.
The venue will get the customary 1% bonus for selling the winning ticket, amounting to $13,000.
The player, whoever they are, matched all five numbers to win the Thursday, June 11 evening drawing of the game with 1, 13, 19, 27 and 35.
With this exciting news out in the open, no person has yet stepped forward to claim the prize, but a total of 41,000 prizes were won on the night of the big win, further establishing Lucky Day Lotto as one of the Prairie State’s most popular lottery games.
As to the missing winner, they have plenty of time to claim their ticket - provided they have it on them- with the Illinois Lottery offering a one-year expiry from the date of announcing the win until the date of claiming the prize.
In the meantime, the Illinois Lottery has been able to produce numerous winners over the past weeks and months. A player managed to scoop a $1,050,000 Lucky Day Lotto in April, claiming the prize with 2, 7, 16, 41, and 45 as the winning numbers.
Another win occurred on the same game in May, when a pair of friends - Pirate Gals - scooped a $750,000 payday. In the meantime, the search for the most recent winner is still ongoing.
