Maryland seeks close to a dozen lucky winners with unclaimed tickets set to expire soon.

The Maryland Lottery announced Thursday a total of nine high-value prizes remain unclaimed, with the largest one being a $1m Powerball win.

$1m Powerball ticket expires on March 15

In Maryland, players have 182 days after the drawing date to claim their prizes.

Tickets for FAST PLAY games with winnings expire 182 days after their purchase.

If a player fails to claim the prize within the deadline, the ticket expires.

As is usual for lottery tickets, especially if the prize is of high value, winners are encouraged to sign the back of the tickets, book an appointment and keep the tickets safe.

Per the Maryland Lottery's announcement, a Powerball ticket for the game's drawing on September 13, 2025, is set to expire soon.

The winning ticket was purchased at Chesapeake Liquors at 8853 Branch Avenue in Clinton.

The ticket matched all five white balls from the game's drawing, winning a $1m prize.

However, as of February 12, 2026, the prize is still unclaimed, and the Maryland Lottery confirmed it is set to expire on March 15, 2026.

Eight other prizes of $50,000 each won from different games also remain unclaimed as of Thursday this week.

A Powerball ticket with a $50,000 prize sold at Howard Wine & Spirits at 7700 Hearthside Way in Elkridge for the game's August 30, 2025, drawing is going to expire on February 28, 2026.

Then, on March 6, a $50,000 FAST PLAY Lightning Cash ticket bought on September 5, 2025, in Salisbury is set to expire.

On March 7, two Powerball tickets, each winning $50,000, sold in Sykesville and Silver Spring, are set to expire unless claimed.

The Maryland Lottery also seeks the winner of a $50,000 Pick 5 ticket sold on October 1, 2025, in Rockville. That ticket is set to expire on April 1, 2026.

On the other hand, two Powerball tickets, each winning $50,000 and both purchased in White Plains, are set to expire on May 2, 2026, unless claimed by their holders.

The holder of a $50,000 Bonus Match 5 ticket, sold on November 2, 2025, at the Giant store at 405 North Center Street in Westminster, will have until May 3, 2026, to claim their win.
