Another day and another Lucky Day Lotto draw in Illinois has been minted, with one lucky ticket holder about to be $850,000 richer. The player bought their ticket from the Casey’s General Store, located at 902 Walnut St, in Washington, Illinois, with no further details known about them just now.
The Illinois Lottery shared the customary data it could - including the public winning numbers, which were 1, 5, 7, 14, and 24, as well as the fact that the shop that sold the ticket is also getting a premium based on the total prize - $8,500 or 1%.
The $850,000 win was the single-biggest winning prize paid out during the Tuesday, February 9 draw, but it was hardly the only one. A total of 52,000 winning tickets were sold, totalling almost $1,000,000 in prizes, the lottery said.
Big wins have become very customary for the Illinois Lottery and specifically, the Lucky Day Lotto game. At the end of January, another lucky soul grabbed a similar jackpot - $550,000.
They won with numbers 2, 10, 17, 29, and 38, and the ticket was sold at Exxongas station at 8359 S. Robert Rd. in Justice, Illinois, fetching the venue a $5,500 stimulus payment.
A few days before that, the Illinois Lottery reported that it had awarded more than $12,000,000 in prize money over a single weekend, with the Lotto fetching winners $11.6m, the Lucky Day Lotto - $700,000, and Fast Play Twenty 20s - $481,907.
