Lucky Day Lotto ticket fetches $550,000 in Illinois

• The Exxon gas station that sold the ticket will also receive a customary bonus of $5,500

Lucky Day Lotto has minted another big-winner, with the Illinois-based lottery game awarding a $550,000 jackpot in the Wednesday drawing.

Anonymous winner is yet to step forward and claim his prize

While no winner has stepped forward just yet, the Illinois Lottery sought to publicize the event and share what details are known.

For starters, the evening drawing saw a single ticket win with 2, 10, 17, 29, and 38, bagging the six-figure prize. A winner has yet to step forward and claim the reward at the time of writing.

The Illinois Lottery did share the location of the venue that sold the lucky ticket - the Exxongas station at 8359 S. Robert Rd. in Justice, Illinois. As is the custom, the venue will also receive a $5,500 stimulus payment.

The Illinois Lottery has sought to raise awareness for big winners, publicizing the events in a bid to draw more players in. Much of the funding is allocated to public education, creating a feedback loop in which residents get access to better overall learning facilities.

Illinois’ jackpots are dropping all over the place

Few other details about the winner were made known by the lottery at the present time. However, the state has continued to produce big winners over the past few days.

This past weekend, three big winners scooped significant jackpots from the lottery, with one player claiming $11.6m - the largest of the three - on Lotto, whereas another player won the Lucky Day Lotto for $700,000.

The smallest jackpot paid last week was $481,907 on the Fast Play Twenty 20s game. A little earlier in January, a lottery winner identified simply as "Music Man" claimed his $1m and $1 prize playing the Lucky Day Lotto as well.
