SOFTSWISS supports Southern Poland following severe floods

The leading gambling software developer that was recently recognized with The Best Employer of 2024 award from the SBC Awards 2024, SOFTSWISS, stepped in to help communities in areas affected by the recent floods in Southern Poland.

The efforts of the company involved the provision of essential items as well as a financial donation.

A statement released by SOFTSWISS confirms that the company completed a financial donation to the leading Polish charity organization, the Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy.

Additionally, company employees helped pack and coordinate the donation of more than 100 kilograms of essential items.

Such included not only food but also hygiene products, candles, matches, batteries and other necessary products.

The aforementioned supplies were donated to the charitable organization that helps people across Southern Poland living in areas affected by the flooding, Caritas Polska.

The company doesn't want to stand idly by when natural disasters strike

Natalia Perkowska, SOFTSWISS' Chief HR Officer, commented on the topic: "Unfortunately, natural disasters happen, and we don't want to stand idly by. We strive to help in any way we can."

Moreover, she pointed out: "This aligns with one of our core values, We See People, which applies not only to our employees. We always see the people beyond the business, and I believe our ESG initiatives reflect this."

As noted by Perkowska, its donations in Southern Poland reaffirm the company's broader global strategy revolving around social responsibility and sustainable development (ESG).

Besides donations, SOFTSWISS engages in other long-term environmental projects and social initiatives.

The list of such projects includes Pink October, Movember, World Environment Day, as well as other important social and environmental initiatives.

Recently, SOFTSWISS reached out to the global gambling industry with a public call for companies, stakeholders and insiders, who are asked to contribute toward the development of the iGaming Trends 2025 Report.

This ambitious initiative seeks to deliver unique insights about the sector, highlighting important trends that can help better understand the future of the industry.

Not the first time SOFTSWISS stepped in to help after floods

Besides its recent donations in Southern Poland, SOFTSWISS has helped in other cases where natural disasters struck.

Earlier this year, the company participated in a large-scale campaign that helped regions in Brazil impacted by floods.

The flooding in Poland's southern part was the result of Storm Boris which brought cataclysmic floods across the Old Continent.

The heavy rains flooded many cities not only in Poland but in Romania and the Czech Republic, among other countries. As a result, the daily lives of millions of people were impacted.
