Yggdrasil introduces real-money multiplayer slot experience with HungryBear

Yggdrasil’s YGG Masters partner, HungryBear, has just received the go-ahead from the UK Gambling Commission to introduce its groundbreaking slot products, SlotMasters, as a real money solution following several years of free-to-play gameplay.

This is an important step forward for HungryBear and Yggdrasil, as SlotMasters is the de facto first real money gaming (RMG) multiplayer slot experience to become available via Yggdrasil, the company said in a press release shared with Casino Guru News.

However, both Yggdrasil and HungryBear plan on expanding the SlotMasters experience and pushing into other jurisdictions, including those licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority.

The SlotMasters experience combines the best of the slot world and brings more engagement and fun elements to the gameplay, along with a tournament-style gaming that is designed to elevate the experience.

Three players will battle it out in a two-minute game session with the players using a variety of weapons to try and steal points from each other and boost the interactive element in the genre.

A nod from the UK Gambling Commission attests to Yggdrasil and HungryBear's commitment to building regulation-ready and player-focused solutions.

SlotMasters has been a free-to-play option for the past four years, but now, the model is shifting towards the real money gaming realm, adding even more excitement to the core concept, and now making it available in one of the most significant iGaming markets in Europe.

Commenting on this new opportunity, HungryBear CEO Justin Chamberlain has hailed this licensure as a "historic moment" for the company crowning its hard work and persistence.

Reimagining the slot gameplay in the UK and beyond

Chamberlain noted that the success of SlotMasters as a free-to-play game has already been sufficient grounds to pursue more similar opportunities in the realm money realm.

Chamberlain’s good mood and optimistic outlook about the future of the solution has been shared by Yggdrasil Commercial Director Jose Simon who was similarly pleased to see the SlotMasters format expanded to an RMG version.

"We described it as a game-changer when we first shook hands on our partnership, but that's an even more accurate description now that it has received official certification," he said, adding that the arrival of SlotMasters’ RMG marked a new chapter in slot gameplay.
