One of the two top sports betting and gaming companies in the United States, FanDuel, strengthened its C-suite with government experts who bring solid knowledge and experience.
This week, the company confirmed it hired Louis Trombetta, as well as James Hartmann.
Joining FanDuel, they were appointed as Directors of Government Relations, significantly strengthening the important team that plays a central role in building and maintaining successful collaborations with lawmakers in different states.
The two execs bring deep understanding, decades of experience and unique knowledge that would play a key role in FanDuel's future expansion across the country.
Overall, Trombetta has more than a decade of experience within the gaming vertical.
He graduated from the State University of New York, College at Brockport as well as the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
In addition, Trombetta is a former board member of the Association of Racing Commissioners International (ARCI) and a current member of the International Masters of Gaming Law.
As an experienced executive, he brings solid industry knowledge and a unique blend of legal insight. Those skills are undoubtedly going to play a key role in the future success of FanDuel.
Ahead of joining the recognizable betting company, Trombetta was an Executive Director of the gambling regulator in Florida, the Florida Gaming Control Commission.
In a press release, he shared his excitement saying: "I'm thrilled to join FanDuel and transition from a regulatory role to working with an operator that is committed to building this industry in a sustainable manner."
Finally, Trombetta pointed out: "I look forward to contributing to their continued success and helping to shape the future of the industry."
Equally as important is Hartmann's appointment. The executive holds a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Kentucky along with a Juris Doctorate from the University of Notre Dame.
His career started as a prosecutor in New York City and Chicago.
Transitioning to politics, Hartmann held a number of important roles with the Illinois House of Representatives, including Illinois Speaker of the House and Chief Counsel.
This career helped him accumulate significant knowledge in the legislative vertical.
Sharing his excitement to join FanDuel, Hartmann said: "FanDuel has always stood out to me for the company's innovation and its commitment to shaping the future of gaming in a responsible way."
Cesar Fernandez, FanDuel's Head of State Government Relations, spoke about the importance of the evolution of the company's government relations team.
The executive added that FanDuel is thrilled to see experts with such experience to join its ranks.
Finally, Fernandez predicted that Hartmann and Trombetta will help the company "continue to show the positive impact legal and regulated gaming can have for states."
Recently, FanDuel complemented its responsible gaming tools with the addition of a new feature called My Spend.
The innovative responsible gambling tool grants customers of the leading brand access to unique insights and encourages them to better control their spending.
