Longstanding Kindred Group veteran Kristoffer Bergvall has tendered his resignation and will be stepping down from the group’s operations, as he most recently served as Head of Poker for the gambling giant.
His decisions come after 11-odd years of holding different roles at Kindred Group and witnessing most of the company’s evolution firsthand over the past decade. Bergvall is himself a professional poker player who joined Kindred Group in 2013 and was immediately involved with the firm’s poker day-to-day operations.
Bergvall quickly rose to salience in the company and became Head of Poker in 2018, after spending the previous five years honing his skills. Bergvall announced his resignation through a LinkedIn post in which he spoke about his professional journey as part of the company.
"After an incredible 11 years, the time has come for me to say goodbye to Kindred. It’s a bittersweet moment. While I’m excited about the next chapter in my career, I’ll deeply miss the exceptional people and experiences that have defined my journey here," he said.
Bergvall thanked his company for offering him the chance to hone his professional skills, and he celebrated some of the achievements he has been a part of – including the development of products, successful marketing, customer operations and more. Kindred Group has helped shape his professional path in the world of iGaming.
He teased that he was preparing to start the next chapter of his professional career in the world of iGaming, but did not offer more immediate details. Bergvall is leaving the company in the wake of its acquisition by La Française des Jeux, one of the largest industry acquisitions.
