The acclaimed supplier of online casino games, Play’n GO, has secured the Malta Gaming Authority’s ESG-C Tier 2 Seal, a benchmark awarded to industry entities to distinguish their efforts in Environmental, social, and governance (ESG).
The seal comes on the tail of the company’s release of its 2023 Sustainability Report, in which the company further laid out the foundations of its operations designed to make a sustainable impact on the world and chart a course for both industry & non-industry entities to follow towards improved ESG.
In the report, Play’n GO discussed its own commitment to reaching carbon neutrality, known as "net zero," introducing greener working practices, and building upon key corporate pillars such as its "culture of belonging" in a time of fast-evolving digital trends and the business environment.
Commenting on the Malta Gaming Authority’s seal of excellence, Play’n GO CSR Director Vanessa Arenram said the company was excited to receive the accolade.
"We’re pleased to have our commitment to a sustainable world recognized in this way by the Malta Gaming Authority.
Our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility goes far beyond mere words- it's reflected in our actions, initiatives, and the positive impact we strive to create, both within our industry and the wider world," Arenram said.
She added that the publication of the 2023 Sustainability Report already generated positive feedback beyond the industry.
Play’n GO’s ESG efforts have been distinguished beyond the industry.
In 2024, the company was the only iGaming firm whose commitment to best practices in ESG was recognized by being nominated for the 2024 Corporate Star Awards. The company secured the Best ESG Report, making history and demonstrating that the sector can be a champion of ESG practices.
At the event, the company’s 2023 Sustainability Report was recognized alongside the efforts of other major entertainment companies, such as SONY Entertainment and Globo.
The 2024 Corporate Star Awards are one of the highest benchmarks to be attained in corporate reporting and sustainability, and this, paired with the ESG-C Tier 2 Seal, demonstrates Play'n GO's commitment to ESG that transcends industry standards and establishes robust benchmarks of its own.
