The organization that "supports, inspires, and influences the development of women in the Gaming industry," Global Gaming Women (GGW), strengthened its senior-level team with a fresh appointment.
Earlier this week, GGW confirmed it hired the services of Pamela Buckley, a gaming executive with more than two decades of experience.
Joining the non-profit organization, she was appointed to the newly created role of Executive Vice President.
In her new role, Buckley will leverage her extensive experience and help GGW continue to grow and thrive.
Holding the position of Executive Vice President, the executive will collaborate with Kelly Hatch, who currently holds the role of Executive Director.
The two will help guide the non-profit organization and continue its mission to advance and empower "women in the gaming industry by offering mentorship programs and networking avenues," as explained in a press release.
Buckley revealed that it is an honor for her to join GGW and play a key role in the organization's future.
"I have had some amazing mentors throughout my career, and I am excited to be able to pay it forward and help level the playing field for women across the globe in the gaming industry," added the new Executive Vice President.
As a Las Vegas native, Buckley explained: "My father and uncle held various positions in Casino Operations and Casino Marketing and my sister and I grew up running around the back halls of the Tropicana, Dunes and Bally's hotel, so I would say I was destined to be in the gaming industry."
Lauren Bates, GGW's President and Board Chair, added that it is exciting to welcome Buckley to the team.
"Her wealth of experience in both leadership and gaming, coupled with her passion for community services and helping others, aligns perfectly with our vision for the future," added Bates.
Finally, she pointed to Buckley's solid experience, track record in building effective teams and knowledge in establishing successful relationships.
Ahead of joining GGW, Buckley served as Executive Director of Casino VIP services and Fontainebleau Rewards at Fontainebleau Las Vegas.
Holding that role, she helped drive the operator's customer loyalty program, operational excellence as well as business and customer relationships.
Besides Fontainebleau Las Vegas, Buckley was also part of Caesars Entertainment.
Throughout her experience spanning more than 20 years, she held a number of important C-suite roles, including Director of Inside Sales and Director of VIP Operations.
Undoubtedly, her unique experience and understanding of the gaming and hospitality sector will help her in the new executive-level role at Global Gaming Women.
