Flutter Entertainment has closed a long-anticipated business move, with the company finally delisting from theLondon Stock Exchange (LSE). The company confirmed the news on Monday, August 3 with the FLUT shares no longer traded on the UK Financial Conduct Authority’s main market.
Flutter Entertainment said that delisting from the LSE was in its best interest and it has chosen to maintain its public offer on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), with the company weighing the merits of the rapid expansion of iGaming and sports betting in the United States, and keen to keep expanding its local footprint.
The company also completed a review of its trading on the LSE, outlining several issues that it said motivated the final decision to pull out of the market. Among those were a low trading volume, as well as the mounting regulatory burden and associated costs in the market.
The company first announced plans to shift away its focus to the United States bylisting on the NYSE in January 2024, with preliminary plans laid out. Later that year, the primary listing was already shifted to the NYSE.
However, the company has no immediate plans to stop expanding or investing in its business locally in the UK or Ireland.
The company’s sports betting brand, FanDuel, has been engaged in cutting jobs across the board, with several hundred positions affected in June 2026.
The company is due to report its second quarter earnings on Wednesday, August 5.
