Genius Sports and Kalshi team up for major media and tech deal

• Genius Sports adds Kalshi to list of prediction market partners, providing the latter with its full suite of top-tier soccer data options
• The partnership comes a day after the tech company announced a similar alliance with Polymarket
• Genius Sports is confident in the staying power of prediction markets despite certain challenges

Genius Sports Limited has signed up a new partnership with Kalshi, a prediction market company, to provide the next-generation financial exchange with official data, media, integrit, and marketing services.

Genius Sports has teamed up with a second major prediction market partner in as many days

Genius Sports is among the sports tech companies to have opened up to prediction market platforms and to welcome their arrival on the business scene despite a litany of legal action faced by these companies.

For its part, Genius Sports has remained buoyant on the sector’s long-term’s prospects and has, much like Sportradar, remarked that the vertical is in its infancy.

Thanks to this new tie-up, Genius Sports will provide Kalshi with its high-quality, realtime data across its full soccer portfolio, which will cover the English Premier League, Serie A, Liga MX, Argentina Primera Division, French Ligue 1.

Kalshi’s Head of Sports Partnerships, Adam Barrick, added this:"As the prediction market ecosystem continues to expand at a rapid pace, the use of official data and integrity services is more important than ever."

"We’re proud to partner with Genius Sports, with their proven track record in providing the highest quality sports data and working alongside leagues to protect the transparency of sporting competitions," he added.

The partnership indicates that Genius Sports is confident in the ability of Kalshi to provide a safe and secure trading environment for people interested in sports binary options.

Kalshi itself has not shied away from reporting suspicious trades, and has flagged former members of U.S. Congress, as well as U.S. military and, in one case, a teleprompter operator who has been in U.S. President Donald Trump’s team since 2016.

In terms of integrity, Kalshi has consistently proved itself to be a reliable and secure partner in regards to maintaining the integrity of sports trades, deploying similar monitoring that traditional sportsbooks do.

Commenting on the tie-up, Genius Sports was similarly pleased, with Sean Conroy, EVP of Rights & Partnerships, having this to add:

The announcement of the tie-up with Kalshi comes up just a day after Genius Sports teamed up with Polymarket for a similar deal.
