Welcome
  • Betsson Group has finalized the acqusition of B2B tech and front-end company Rhino Entertainment
  • The acqusition was announced earlier this year and amounts to $74.3m
  • Thanks to this deal, Betsson Group is now present in both Ontario and Alberta, Canada

Betsson Group has completed the acquisition of Rhino Entertainment, allowing the company to once again return to the iGaming market in Ontario, Canada, at a time when the country is experiencing an uptick in online casino activity.

Rhino Entertainment now a fully-owned Betsson Group asset

The acquisition of the company’s B2B technology as well as its front-end and middleware solutions gives Betsson Group a firm foothold in the market and allows it to consolidate its regional presence while competing in a high-impact and lucrative market and vertical.

Rhino Entertainment confirmed the news in a LinkedIn post, and said:

"Today marks an important milestone for everyone at Rhino Entertainment as we officially complete the acquisition of various entities within our group, by Betsson Group. This achievement is the result of months of dedication, collaboration and hard work."

Betsson Group has not been available in Ontario since it withdrew from the market earlier in 2026, pausing local operations.

The acquisition of Rhino Entertainment means that the Group is once again back through the Casino Days, Big Boost and Lucky Spins iGaming brands, but this does not exhaust the firm’s licensing capital.

Deal finalized, Betsson Group now operational in Alberta and Ontario

Casino Days, for example, is also available as an iGaming operator in Alberta, the second province to regulate online casinos in Canada, giving Betsson Group immediate access to both markets and tapping into the existing company infrastructure.

Betsson Group secured the company in a $74.3m deal, which has allowed it to significantly scale its North American presence and restart local operations by holding full ownership over the local brands.

"A heartfelt thank you to our incredible Rhino team, the teams at Betsson Group, and all of our external advisers and partners who worked tirelessly to make this happen. We’re proud of what we’ve built, grateful to everyone who contributed to this journey, and excited for what comes next," Rhino wrapped up.
