The provider of lottery technology, services and products, Scientific Games, confirmed the debut of its industry-first Dimension product printing technology. Details of the advanced lottery instant scratch game printing technology emerged Tuesday and come ahead of the company's plans for further expansion within the instant game vertical.
Scientific Games revealed that the new Dimension products, which are expected to be launched for lotteries in Canada, as well as the United States, would feature a holographic-like effect. "A Scientific Games exclusive, Spheric Lens is the newest three-dimensional pattern that creates depth and movement at different angle refractions with spherical circles that simultaneously appear above and below the game graphics," explains a statement released by the company earlier this week.
Instant scratch games that currently use the leading technology include Stella and Cracked Ice. Besides the spherical circles, Scientific Games confirmed that additional patterns for the Dimension technology are currently being developed.
The leading Dimension technology was developed thanks to Scientific Games' teams located in Leeds, the UK in an effort to deliver unique and engaging experiences for lotteries on the Old Continent. Keeping in mind that the company's technology is now live, its launch is expected with the South Carolina Education Lottery, New Mexico Lottery and the Colorado Lottery.
The aforementioned lotteries are expected to be the first US lotteries to offer Scientific Games' Dimension games. A solid date for the launch wasn't set given that the company confirmed that Dimension games would be arriving to "US players this spring and summer."
The industry-first technology introduced by Scientific Games further complements the company's ongoing investment in its scratch game segment. In fact, the company has invested millions in improving its scratch game products. A further testament to the success of Scientific Games is the number of produced instant lottery scratch tickets that annually surpasses 53 million.
John Schulz, Scientific Games' President of Americas and Global Instant Products, said about the latest announcement: "Scientific Games continues to lead the way in specialty and HD digital printing technology to innovate new lottery games for today's players." He pointed out that the company's team of experts analyzes trends and conducts research, which helps with the development of new products.
In conclusion, Schulz said: "We're continuing to advance game innovation through our long-term technology expansion plan so our customers can offer their players the most exciting scratch play experiences in the industry and drive sustainable revenues for lottery good cause funding."
