  • An anonymous lottery player won a $12.3m from New Jersey’s Pick-6 jackpot game on Saturday
  • The person quickly opted for the lump-sum payment option, taking home $5,602,036
  • Pick-6 game has reset the jackpot at $2m and holds a mainstream appeal with players in the Garden State

An Ocean County player won a huge prize from the Pick-6 jackpot game in New Jersey last Saturday, and just prior to a snowstorm hitting the Garden State.

This is the largest jackpot to have been won from the game so far this year, with a total amount of $12.3m.

Matching all six numbers, taking home $5.6m

The player, who matched all six winning numbers - 7, 9, 10, 17, 25, and 03, preferred to take home the one-time payment option instead, more than halving the total amount - $5,602,036.

The ticket had been bought at ShopRite #619, 501 Rouete, Waretown, and the venue will also fetch a $10,000 bonus for selling the ticket. The Pick-6 jackpot game has been quite popular in New Jersey, with already two jackpots paying huge amounts in 2025 - $32m in Jackson and $22m in Hudson County.

Pick-6 has also allocated smaller jackpots between $5.5m and $5.9m over the past months. Each time a Pick-6 game jackpot is won, the lottery resets the base amount to $2m, a fairly large base prize to begin with, which has added to the game’s appeal.

New Jersey Lottery Executive Director James Carey felt like congratulating the anonymous winner, and said, "This weekend will surely be unforgettable for one particular lottery player. Hopefully, this will be the start of many other life-changing jackpots to come this year!"
