Thunderkick hires Svante Sahlström, confirms plans for global expansion

Thunderkick, the leading independent slot studio, announced it expanded its team with the addition of Svante Sahlström. Joining the company, he was appointed to the role of Chief Commercial Officer for Global Expansion, a statement reveals.

In his new role, Sahlström will oversee Thunderkick's growth and expansion. He will be directly involved in strategic processes related to the company's sales, marketing and commercial divisions. Moreover, Sahlström is expected to leverage his extensive knowledge and experience, helping the company grow its presence in Ontario and other strategic markets across the globe. According to Thunderkick, with the addition of Sahlström, the company is positioned well for significant growth across important jurisdictions worldwide.

The latest senior-level appointment comes ahead of ICE 2024, one of the most-anticipated events for the gambling industry that is planned for February. Sahlström will join Thunderkick for ICE and play an important role in forging new and retaining existing partnerships.

Sven Grip, Thunderkick's Chief Executive Officer, shared his excitement about the latest announcement. "Svante is a fantastic addition to the team, especially as Chief Commercial Officer," he explained. Additionally, Grip highlighted Sahlström's extensive experience and knowledge, predicting that they will be pivotal for the future expansion of the company.

Thunderkick's boss added: "He joins Thunderkick at an extremely exciting time, with entry into Ontario on the horizon alongside substantial growth worldwide. We’re in a fantastic position to keep rising, and Svante is sure to play a pivotal part in taking us to the next level."

Sahlström was similarly thrilled, explaining that it is an honor for him to join the company at such an important time in its growth. Moreover, he revealed that it will be exciting to play an important role in Thunderkick's future expansion.

Becoming a part of Thunderkick's C-suite, Sahlström brings more than 10 years of experience. Before joining the company, he served as Head of New Markets for ELK Studios. Besides ELK Studios, Sahlström has experience within the iGaming payment sector after being part of Trustly and Zimpler.
