The leading provider of retail and digital games, solutions, services and technologies to government-sponsored lottery and betting operators, Scientific Games (SG), announced a strategic extension of its agreement with one of the top 10 US lotteries per capita draw game sales.

SG will continue to collaborate with Puerto Rico's lottery for eight years

The company confirmed it signed a partnership extension with Lotería Electrónica, Puerto Rico's lottery.

Announced earlier this week, the collaboration sees the duo continue their successful agreement for another eight years.

Besides the eight-year term, SG and Lotería Electrónica have the capability of further extending their agreement by two more years, meaning that the full term of the deal can go up to 10 years in total.

Under the terms of the deal, Scientific Games will upgrade its offering for the Lottery, helping engage with new customers and delivering new products.

The collaboration will see the company supercharge Lotería Electrónica's current central system to the innovative and advanced Momentum ecosystem.

Additionally, SG will bolster the operator's retail offering with new WAVE retailer terminals, as well as Lottery Inmotion digital advertising displays, ticket scanners as well as jackpot signs and PlayCentral HD Powered by SCiQ self-serving machines.

What's more, SG will propel the customer experience with the deployment of a new app developed for Lotería Electrónica.

Using the app, lottery players will be able to access important information such as drawing results for jackpots and Keno games, special second-chance promotions, among other engaging and convenient features.

The duo continues their successful journey

John Schulz, Scientific Games' President of Global Instant Products and the Americas, shared his excitement about the extended deal with Lotería Electrónica in a statement.

"Our teams worked diligently to propose a strategic full-portfolio solution for Lotería Electrónica that builds upon a strong foundation that began in 2005," he revealed.

Finally, Schulz pointed out: "The overall solution features our most advanced technologies and services supported by a great staff of employees that will power the Lottery for its next era of growth and long-term sustainability."

The contract extension follows a success story between SG and the Lottery operator.

Thanks to the innovative and quality solutions from Scientific Games, Lotería Electrónica's sales marked an increase of 65%, while profits grew by 81% between 2005 and 2023.

Currently, the Lottery's profits fund different social programs in Puerto Rico. Such include different education initiatives and scholarships, improvement of infrastructure, as well as sports and recreation programs, among others.

Only recently, SG confirmed that its Fast Play games lead across retail markets in the United States.

This exceptional result is expected, considering that the company powers 27 lotteries with its Fast Play products.
