The Borgata Winter Poker Open is returning for yet another year, powered by BetMGM and set to take place from January 2-16, 2025.
The event, which is powered by BetMGM, will feature $5,000,000 in guaranteed prize money, and online qualifiers are already underway at BetMGM Poker, making sure that players have the opportunity to demonstrate their skill on every possible level.
Commenting on this opportunity to host the event once again, BetMGM VP of Gaming Angus Nisbet said:
"The Borgata WinterPokerOpen provides the perfect opportunity for BetMGM to carry our 2024 momentum into the new year. After merging our New Jersey and Michigan player pools in November, we are excited to offer players in all our US markets another chance to win their way to million-dollar live events at Borgata."
Poker has been part of the multi-pronged strategy the BetMGM brand has enjoyed in the United States, expanding into online casinos and sports betting. The arrival of a poker event of this magnitude has important implications for the company’s long-term goals for the sector.
Not least, BetMGM Poker has been looking to create better opportunities for players of all backgrounds, and recently, the platform merged the liquidities of its New Jersey and Michigan operations, boosting its ecosystem with better promotions, larger prize pools, and importantly – more active online players.
In the meantime, the Borgata Winter Poker Open remains one of the most flexible events that is intended to popularize the game and offer everyone an equal chance. Exclusive online qualifiers are already underway in New Jersey, Michigan and Pennsylvania, all through BetMGM Poker.
You may win a seat in the event from December 9 through January 15. Players will also benefit from same-day registrations, which will considerably take the pressure to either hit or miss the event you are looking forward to.
Players may play online in the $100,000 BetMGM Online Hybrid Champions which gets underway on Sunday, January 5, but then proceed to a live final table at Borgata on January 9.
To make sure that poker fans are enjoying the action up close, the company is also organizing the BetMGM Big League Live Stream on January 10, which will stream a single-table tournament headlined by theBetMGM partner digital baseball show, Foul Territory.
All told, the Borgata Winter Poker Open is expected to be one of the most exciting poker events at the start of the year and an event that many poker players will be able to gain an entry into by simply bringing their best game to the online tables before proceeding to the live casino floor!
