The International Golf Federation (IGF) and Sportradar, the global supplier of sport integrity solutions, announced a new partnership. The multi-year collaboration was unveiled Tuesday and boosts IGF's integrity efforts.

The new partnership involves Sportradar's Sportradar Integrity Services unit which will provide its solutions to boost the Federation's efforts against match-fixing as well as fraud. Initially, the partnership will cover multiple tournaments in the next two years.

Under the integrity partnership, Sportradar Integrity Services will leverage its expertise and experience. The monitoring of the integrity will be facilitated via its Universal Fraud Detection System (UFDS) solution. The solution will monitor multiple IGF competitions throughout 2022 and 2023. Such completions include the Eisenhower Trophy, as well as the Espirito Santo Trophy that was launched recently.

Andreas Krannich, Sportradar Integrity Services' Managing Director, shared his excitement in a statement released on August 23, 2022. He pointed out: "In recent years we have witnessed an increase in match-fixing issues, with a greater range of sports targeted as part of this."

Krannich acknowledged that Sportradar Integrity Services is delighted to join forces with the International Golf Federation. In conclusion, he said: "Golf has a large viewership around the world and we look forward to assisting in the protection of International Golf Federation competitions from all integrity-related risks over the coming years."

Antony Scanlon, IGF's Executive Director, added that the recent partnership reaffirms the Federation's commitment to battle integrity threats. Additionally, the Federation's Executive Director said that thanks to the new deal, the IGF will be in a better position to keep its competitions free of integrity concerns.

In conclusion, Scanlon said: "The UFDS bet monitoring solution will provide vital oversight of the global betting market, with their integrity specialists available to alert us to any irregularities that may arise."

Sportradar's UFDS monitoring solution is globally recognized and verified by experts in the sports betting integrity field. The solution analyzes betting patterns and raises flags for abnormalities. It is led by a dedicated team of industry experts that flag suspicious matches which ultimately helps against match-fixing.

Overall, the UFDS monitoring solution has identified more than 7,300 suspicious matches after operating for nearly two decades. With that in mind, this year alone, the solution flagged more than 600 suspicious matches.

Only recently, Sportradar released its Q2, 2022 results. The technology company reported strong growth of 23% to $186m for the second quarter this year when compared to the same period in 2021.

Founded in 2001, Sportradar is currently a leading global sports technology company. Currently, the company has more than 3,000 full-time employees in 20 countries around the world. Sportradar has more than 1,700 customers and partners in more than 120 countries. It is the official sports betting partner of leading sports leagues such as FIFA, NHL, NBA, MLB, NASCAR and UEFA among others.
