Continent 8 Technologies hires Dave Phillips as VP of Network

The award-winning infrastructure provider for the global gambling industry, Continent 8 Technologies, announced a senior-level appointment by hiring Dave Phillips, a former Google executive with extensive experience. Joining the company's C-suite, he was appointed to the role of Vice President, Network. Continent 8 Technologies' latest senior-level appointment comes at an important moment for the company as it continues to expand rapidly around the world.

As Vice President, Network, Phillips will oversee a team of network specialists across the globe. He will be responsible for experts located across the USA, Canada, the UK, Europe, as well as India and Singapore. Phillips' efforts will be focused on ensuring that Continent 8 Technologies retains its position as a leading provider of secure services, powering the global online gambling sector.

Currently, the company's global network has more than 100 locations on four continents. Continent 8 Technologies has established a strong presence across the United States, considering it operates in 30 different states.

In a statement, Phillips revealed that it is thrilling to join the company and praised its extensive global network, comparing it to the backbone of the online gambling industry. Edward O’Connor, Continent 8 Technologies' Chief Technology Officer, spoke about Phillips' extensive experience, knowledge and deep understanding of the internet sector. He added that the former Google executive brings a wide range of skills, making him a perfect fit for the role at Continent 8 Technologies. Overall, Phillips brings 15 years of experience after holding a number of roles with Google. During his tenure, he was in charge of different teams, including Product, Delivery, Engineering and Operations, allowing him to gain invaluable knowledge.
