The biggest sports radio station in the world, talkSPORT, has made an ambitious leap forward into the sports betting space with backing from BetVictor. talkSPORT, which holds rights to the Premier League, and BetVictor, which is one of the best-known faces in the interactive wagering vertical have come together for the newly fledged talkSPORT BET brand.
This approach to sports betting will combine talkSPORT’s in-depth understanding of building strong editorial content centered around sports along with BetVictor’s hands-on experience in running proprietary sports betting software with established operational capabilities.
The pair feels confident that the talkSPORT BET platform will come along with exciting features, exclusive offers, great promotions, and not least, very detailed reporting on key sporting events. The move has been welcomed by BetVictor Group CCO Brent Almeida who said that the company was honored to be teaming with a well-respected brand as talkSPORT.
Through talkSPORT BET fans will have another opportunity to engage with their favorite events, Almeida added. "We are fully committed to creating a safe and entertaining gambling experience with everything a sports fan could want in a betting brand," he concluded.
BetVictor will deploy both of its B2B and B2C capabilities, offering talkSPORT BET a taste of its own proprietary white-label platform. Previously, BetVictor assisted with launches for Heart Bingo, BildBet, and Parimatch, among others.
talkSPORT Betting and Gaming Director Gareth Williams added that talkSPORT remains the world’s biggest radio station and has cultivated a big audience of loyal listeners. This new partnership will demonstrate the ability to bring together different aspects of the experience and put them together, Williams added. talkSPORT BET will provide audiences with online activations such as odds integrations and various betting widgets, he continued.
Having access to the Premier League will definitely elevate the company’s profile right from the get-go, and the fact that talkSPORT has a massive following is already a strong plus for the company. talkSPORT BET is not the only new brand out there, however. As it stands, Betr, a brand created by Simplebet founder and YouTube star Jake Paul is also set to take the world of sports betting by storm.
Betr is trying to use another approach, though, and it’s promoting something known as micro-betting in a bid to make the experience more approachable and entertaining for the people involved. talkSPORT BET though stands an equally goodchance of making a splash.
