Betsson Group, a global sports betting and gaming company, has expanded its presence in the Latin American market by signing a new brand ambassador. As Betsson grows its footprint in LatAm football, the company has decided to team up with Zé Roberto, a Brazilian international player who played for a number of topflight teams, including Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and others.
Roberto will work with Betsson in the next three years and seek to promote the brand using his own image and likeness. He will participate in various social media activations and campaigns to raise the group’s profile in the LatAm market which has become an increasingly important point of development for sports betting and gaming brands.
Betsson Group Commercial Director for Southern Europe and Latin America Andrea Rossi confirmed that Latin America has grown to be a significantly important region for the brand and that Zé was one of the most valuable partners that Betsson could secure at present time to cover the markets in the country, including Brazil.
Zé popularity at home in Brazil and his global presence make him a perfect fit as Betsson Group continues to foray into the region and beyond to ensure that it retains good visibility across the board. Betsson confirmed that the brand was excited to promote its name globally relying on Zé’s prestige.
Zé will have a busy ambassadorship ahead of him as well. He will attend fan events, meet with various people, and work on a YouTube Short video that will popularize the new partnership in the Multiverse of Zé Roberto series that will be then published on Betsson Brazil’s channel.
Betsson previously became the Official Regional Partner for AC Milan in the Latin American market. The group partnered with the Italian football club in May and has been actively seeking to expand its reach with local crowds.
Most prominently, Betsson Group became the official and exclusivesportsbook partner of CONMEBOL Copa América Feminina, the female topflight football league in the country. The event is being played from July 8 through July 30.
