The gambling industry's leading software and services supplier, Playtech, announced a new European-facing agreement.
On Tuesday, the company confirmed it extended its successful partnership with Bar One, agreeing to power its digital sportsbook in the UK and Ireland.
A press release from Playtech confirms that the company will roll out its complete casino and live casino suite, strengthening the offering of the Bar One digital sportsbook.
The four-year collaboration comes on the heels of a successful partnership between the two companies which dates back to more than a decade.
Previously, Playtech delivered its retail sports product, supercharging the Bar One retail offering in a deal that brought success to the two companies.
Barney O'Hare, Bar One's CEO, revealed that the company is thrilled to expand its successful partnership with Playtech.
"With a full and recent upgrade and digitalization of our entire Retail estate we have installed brand new sports terminals which form a key part of the future success of our company," he added.
Finally, O'Hare pointed out: "We are very excited to also now bring the best Digital Sportsbook and Casino product to our customers and look forward to the success this partnership will undoubtedly bring."
Yori Arami, Playtech's VP Sports Commercial, spoke about Bar One's solid presence in the gambling sector across Ireland.
The executive pointed to the importance of the new partnership, predicting it would help the operator continue growing.
"Our software performance has made this ongoing partnership possible, and the new Digital Sportsbook and Casino proposition further increases the collaboration between the two companies," Arami added.
In conclusion, Playtech's VP Sports Commercial said: "We are set on progressing plans to provide a customer-centric roadmap for the years ahead, as we continue to develop new technologies aimed at improving and maximizing performance in the digital and the retail space."
The collaboration will see Playtech retain the role of exclusive provider of self-service betting terminals for the operator.
In addition, the company will continue to deliver its sports betting software, strengthening Bar One's offering and addressing the growing demand for digital wagering options.
The collaboration with Bar One follows another deal announced by Playtech recently.
Last week, the company confirmed it agreed to power Delaware North's Betly brand.
