The leading gaming and entertainment company that operates close to 30 properties in 10 US states, Boyd Gaming, announced that it donated more than $200,000 as a part of the 2024 Wreaths and Trees of Hope competition.
A press release on Thursday confirmed that 183 non-profit organizations from 10 states participated in the company's latest Wreaths and Trees of Hope competition.
The latest competition was the 17th consecutive year of the beloved event.
As usual, participants helped decorate trees or wreaths.
Ahead of the holidays, Boyd Gaming guests and customers had the opportunity to vote for their favorite charities.
Votes were collected either in person at the company's properties or online and helped determine the final results.
Boyd Gaming released a list of the first-place winners, which included charitable and non-profit organizations from 10 different states.
Several organizations from Nevada and Louisiana were among the first-place winners from the 2024 competition.
On the other hand, non-profit organizations from Kansas, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Mississippi and Ohio were also on the list of first-place winners.
Boyd Gaming also released a full list of the first-place winners from the 2024 Wreaths and Trees of Hope per state:

The beloved competition started back in 2007 at the Delta Downs Racetrack and Hotel in Louisiana.
However, since then, the Wreaths and Trees of Hope program has expanded across the country, reaching 25 Boyd Gaming properties.
Since the inception of the program, close to $2m in donations have been awarded.
