The global leader in digital payments, Visa, is joining forces with the international video game developer behind Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), MOONTON Games.
Under the terms of a new alliance, the former will power the latter’s M Series in the next three years.
Details regarding the new collaboration emerged Monday, confirming that Visa was designated a Global Payment Partner for the next three editions of the M Series starting with the M8 World Championship (M8) in 2027 through the M10 World Championship (M10) in 2029.
Per the collaboration, from the M8 through the M10, Visa cardholders will have the ability to tap into M Series tickets preferentially while having a chance to win exciting behind-the-scenes tours and meet-and-greets.
Ultimately, the alliance will help esports fans get closer to their favorite teams and players.
The new three-year partnership between Visa and MOONTON Games builds on a foundation set between the duo at the M7 World Championship (M7) in Jakarta, Indonesia.
On the heels of this alliance, the two companies are now going to deliver even more value for esports fans across the globe.
Tiger Xu, MOONTON Games’ Global Head of MLBB Esports, spoke with excitement about the new agreement, Casino Guru News learned from a press release.
"Our partnership with Visa at the M7 demonstrated how we can create greater value together across the fan journey. This multi-year agreement is a natural next step as MLBB Esports enters its next phase of globalization," the executive said.
Finally, Xu pointed out: "It also reflects the growing international scale and relevance of the M Series. Together, we are excited to deliver a more seamless, rewarding, and connected experience for fans around the world."
Danielle Jin, Visa’s Chief Marketing Officer Asia Pacific, was similarly excited.
She revealed that the company is delighted to grow its partnership with MOONTON Games and support one of the most exciting esports franchises.
"MLBB is a powerful example of how mobile gaming is changing the way people play, connect with each other, and spend. Every year, millions of fans and gamers engage with the M Series," Jin added.
Last but not least, she explained that Visa, together with MOONTON Games, will help create unforgettable moments for esports fans.
According to data from Esports Charts, the MLBB’s flagship international competition, the M Series, is the most-watched mobile tournament in history, with 5.68m peak concurrent viewers recorded.
