FanDuel and DraftKings, the two top betting and gaming companies in the United States, continue to expand their footprint.

The companies hit a major milestone in Arkansas, where they were permitted to enter as technology partners.

FanDuel and DraftKings to power betting apps in the state

Setting their sights on Arkansas betting market entry, FanDuel and DraftKings submitted applications to the Arkansas Racing Commission.

The Commission discussed the application at a meeting held on Thursday and ultimately approved the entry of the two leading betting companies.

Following unanimous approval from the members of the Commission, FanDuel will now be able to power Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort's betting application.

On the other hand, DraftKings will serve as the technology provider of Southland Casino, powering their mobile betting application.

The announcement marks a major milestone for both FanDuel and DraftKings as it complements their expansion in North America.

Entering Arkansas and powering the betting operators as technology vendors, the two companies reaffirm their leadership in the gambling sector.

Notably, with FanDuel and DraftKings delivering technology to betting operators in Arkansas, the market is expected to continue to grow.

This growth is expected to be the result of co-branding opportunities and increased interest.

Under the existing betting regulations, casinos in Arkansas need to retain 51% of online gambling revenue even in cases with third-party sports betting vendors.

During the recent vote, the Racing Commission members agreed that the approval of the entry of FanDuel and DraftKings as technology providers won't violate the 51% rule.

Both FanDuel and DraftKings operate in more than two dozen regulated betting markets.

They continue to dominate the vertical, representing a significant share of the total betting handle in many states across the country.
