With the football season approaching fast, there’s plenty of uncertainty about some National Football League (NFL) teams.
Considering that the new season is about to kick off in less than two weeks, all eyes are on League franchises, and industry experts are already exploring unexpected moves.
Only recently, the award-winning NFL reporter, analyst and insider, Jason La Canfora, looked into how the New York Jets may change if Mike Tomlin takes the reins as head coach.
Leveraging insider information from NFL managers and owners, the expert revealed that if the Jets are to indeed have Tomlin as coach, Lamar Jackson, the two-time MVP quarterback, may also join the team’s roster.
In an exclusive interview for Casino Guru News, La Canfora said: "I’d say a bit of a bromance with Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, who’s got a no-trade clause. He’s got a no franchise tag clause, and he’s got an $85m cap hit in 2027 that is untenable."
Moreover, the award-winning NFL reporter said: "Lamar Jackson has demanded trades in the past. Now, he ended up signing with the Ravens."
However, according to La Canfora, contingent on the Jets securing Tomlin as coach, along with other conditions, there is a possibility for Jackson to join the team roster.
"But I can tell you, if Mike Tomlin got to New York, and if 3 first-round picks can get you Lamar Jackson, and if that defense is as good as some people think it could be, and if there’s some pieces on offense, that’s something to absolutely look out for in 2027," La Canfora said in conclusion.
