A lottery ticket purchased on a whim with spare change by an Australian woman brought her a life-enhancing six-figure jackpot prize.
On Tuesday, TheLott released details regarding the fortunate Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot winner, who scored the game's 1st Prize on Monday.
While the identity of the fortunate player wasn't publicly disclosed, the lottery confirmed that the winner's entry was purchased via its official website.
The Mullumbimby lady saw her ticket bring her a sweet AU$100,000 ($66,900) Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot from the game's draw 11039 from Monday, September 15, 2025.
Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are part of TheLott's raffle-style games.
This means that there is a preset number of tickets for each game draw and prizes are not shared, considering that each ticket has a unique number.
Undoubtedly, Lucky Lotteries is among the popular game in Australia, considering that in FY25, some 182 fortunate lottery players won more than AU$20.5m ($13.7m) in jackpot and top prizes.
Initially, the Mullumbimby local received an email notifying her about the life-enhancing AU$100,000 ($66,900) win.
The woman thought that the message was a scam, but she still proceeded with checking her ticket.
"I thought, ‘No way, this has to be a scam! There’s no way in the world I won $100,000," the lucky winner said when speaking to an official from TheLott.
She added that she is shocked and pointed out: "Oh my god! This is life-changing! Thank you so much! What a good day it turned out to be!"
According to the Mullumbimby woman, she purchased her Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot ticket on a whim.
"I don’t usually buy Lucky Lotteries tickets, but I had won $19 on another game and after buying another ticket with those winnings, I had a few dollars left," she explained.
The fortunate woman recalled that she wanted to try a raffle ticket and admitted to feeling excited about the unexpected windfall.
Asked about her plans, the thrilled Mullumbimby local said she intends to buy a car and go on a holiday.
What's more, the lottery player said she will use some of the prize money to treat her family and invest what's left.
