The family syndicate includes members across generations, and it was among the division one winners from a recent Saturday X Lotto drawing.

The group of family members purchased their entry at Rostrevor Pharmacy, Shop 1 at 161 St Bernards Road in Rostrevor.

The Rostrevor family syndicate hit the jackpot as their entry was among nine division one winning entries across Australia.

Each of the winning entries is entitled to a life-changing prize of AU$2,222,222.23 ($1.6m).

Interestingly, the family lottery syndicate didn’t register their Saturday X Lotto entry, which is why The Lott had to wait for them to come forward and claim their life-changing prize.

It has taken just about a month since the Saturday X Lotto drawing on July 25, 2026, for the lottery syndicate to come forward and claim their newfound fortune.

One of the family members, speaking to an official from The Lott, acknowledged that the win is unbelievable.

"It took us a little longer to come forward because there’s six of us," the family member said.

They also confirmed that the family lottery syndicate has members from their 20s to their 80s, and funny enough, they set up the syndicate with the goal of staying connected and didn’t expect to win.

"We’d put whatever money we won into a kitty so we could use it for dinners and catch ups. Honestly we never expected to actually win," the family member added.

The winning family member admitted that scoring the Saturday X Lotto prize brings excitement to the group and that sharing this moment together makes it even more special.

Finally, the fortunate player admitted that they are actively looking for a new home, which is why the lottery windfall will certainly come in handy.

Each of the members of the family lottery syndicate is entitled to a sweet AU$370,370.37 ($265,200) payday.
