A fortunate couple had a sleepless night after scoring a six-figure lottery jackpot.

That's the story of a Florida man, who hit the Fantasy 5jackpot while visiting Michigan and is now considering relocating there with his wife so that they can be closer to other family members.

The fortunate player took down the Fantasy 5 jackpot

The lucky 75-year-old player said in an interview for the Michigan Lottery that he often buys Fantasy 5 tickets whenever visiting family members in Michigan.

He did exactly this only recently, when purchasing a ticket from Wesco gas station on 3090 Colby Road in Whitehall.

The player, who chose to remain anonymous, entered the Fantasy 5 drawing on June 24.

Surprisingly, he emerged as the winner of the game's jackpot after matching all winning numbers: 03-12-17-23-27.

This brought the fortunate player a life-changing $358,104 jackpot.

"After the drawing that night, I checked my ticket by scanning it on the Michigan Lottery app. When I saw how much I’d won, I yelled to my wife: ‘We just won the lottery!’ and we both started to cry," the winner explained.

Moreover, the 75-year-old man said: "We were up the rest of the night because we were both too excited to sleep."

Only recently, the fortunate player visited the Michigan Lottery to claim his newfound fortune.

He admitted that winning such a jackpot is completely life-changing.

"This money will allow us to move closer to family and become debt free," he added.

The popular game offers a range of prizes

Fantasy 5 tickets cost $1 per play and offer players a chance to win a prize between $1 and a jackpot that starts at $100,000.

An extra $1 per play unlocks the game's EZmatch, granting players a chance to win up to $500 instantly, while another $1 per play adds the Double Play feature to the Fantasy 5 ticket for a second chance to win up to $110,000 in a nightly Double Play drawing.

The drawings for Fantasy 5 take place seven days a week at 7:29 PM.
