September was Responsible Gambling Education Month in the United States. Now, the United Kingdom is inching closer to its own customary Safer Gambling Week which is a seven-day campaign that takes place between October 17-23 this year. The event will be backed by a number of industry stakeholders who have long realized the need for responsible gambling.
SkillOnNet is one of those stakeholders who are perfectly aware that supporting responsible gambling is not only a step forward for the entire industry but also a way to elevate one’s own brand and product. That is why all of the company’s brands will be involved with Safer Gambling Week and work to actively promote the event and what it means.
SkillOnNet’s online operators, to wit PlayOJO, Genting Casino, SpinGenie, and others will all promote the week and SkillOnNet will also work with affiliates to ensure that they communicate the same message to consumers and iGaming audiences.
The commitment is clear-cut and PlayOJO has already been distinguished as one of the best and most responsible gambling brands in the iGaming industry. SkillOnNet Michael Golembo welcomed the opportunity and added that "safer gambling" is an important watchword for the company.
He insisted that the company expected a strong commitment to the campaign from affiliates and operators under the SkillOnNet brand or those working with the company. Golembo had this to add outlining the company’s priorities:
"They have always done a great job of arming players with the tools and knowledge they need to make responsible decisions and informing them about resources available if gambling becomes a problem. But let’s push that message even harder during Safer Gambling Week."
Responsible Gambling has been an important part of the industry all these years with regulated markets globally seeking to consolidate their understanding and overall commitment to this aspect of gambling. A few weeks ago, Ontario launched its own responsible gambling initiative, My Playbreak, designed to educate people about the potential risks of excessive gambling.
SkillOnNet confirmed that its brands and partners will remain committed to making sure that consumers are protected and educated. During the recent SBC Summit Barcelona event, Casino Guru News attended several interesting panels dedicated to problem gambling and responsible gambling.
One of the highlights was the "Can AI Help Casinos Cut Down on Problem Gambling" delivered by Mindway AI CEO Rasmus Kjaergaard who raised an interesting point about the personal approach that helps prevent gambling harm. "Affordability in a new era" was another important milestone for the industry.
