Casino Guru has completed its latest forum poll, asking players to share what their preferred type of slot was. The poll offered players the opportunity to share their preferred types of slots, in terms of the overall frequency of the payouts, and also name a few games specifically in the forum section.
The poll focused on analyzing the overall player preference, with three distinct options made available to players in a bid to better understand what casino players look for in a game. The choices were as follows
The majority of players, 953 people (71% of the total) said that they preferred low-volatility slots, or in other words, the type of games that pay smaller amounts but more frequently. The second biggest group were those who preferred high-volatility slots – 308 people (23% of the total), said that they were much happier to wait for that one big win.
Moving on, 6% of all respondents said that they would much rather play a game based on its design rather than show any consideration for the game’s volatility. Although a small group, this is an interesting insight into player motivation that developers and casinos may appreciate.
Out of the 1,344 players that voted, however, the trend is clearly in favor of the type of games that reward "impatient" play, or the kind of experience where you are constantly reminded of the potential reward through frequent if small wins.
The poll similarly linked out to Casino Guru’s in-depth resources on slot gameplay and specifically, volatility. Players had the opportunity to not only share their opinions but those who preferred to seek further input and have the opportunity to better understand how this part of the slot experience works.
Casino Guru is also uniquely set to run this and other types of polls, as the forum is currently one of the largest and most active gaming-dedicated discussion boards online. The website also has a library of over 17,000 slot games you can play for free or find a regulated casino to play at.
Previous Casino Guru polls focused on gambling addiction and only recently, Casino Guru specifically looked into how many different types of slot games the average player tries every month.
